ProfilePro is a place for people to find work, hire talent and do business with confidence. These guidelines apply to everyone: posts, comments, messages, profiles, job posts and offerings. Breaking them can lead to content being removed or an account being restricted.

1. Be professional and respectful

  • Treat people the way you would in a workplace. Disagree with ideas, not with the person.
  • No name-calling, insults, bullying, mocking or targeted harassment, in public or in private messages.
  • No hate speech or discrimination based on tribe, ethnicity, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or nationality.
  • No threats, intimidation or encouraging violence against anyone.
  • Keep it work-appropriate. Sexual, graphic or shocking content is not allowed.

2. Keep contact details and payments on ProfilePro

  • Do not share phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram or other handles in posts, comments or messages.
  • Do not post off-platform links in messages and comments, and do not push people to take the conversation elsewhere.
  • Agree work, scope and payment through ProfilePro contracts and your wallet so both sides are protected. Never ask to be paid outside the platform.

3. Links in posts

  • Only share links that are relevant, safe and useful to your professional audience, such as your own work, an article or an official company page.
  • No shortened or disguised links, no links to adult, gambling, loan-app, betting or get-rich-quick sites, and nothing that downloads software or asks for a login or payment.
  • No referral, affiliate or giveaway links used to collect sign-ups or personal details.
  • We may remove links or posts that look unsafe or that mainly exist to send people away from ProfilePro.

4. Be honest: no scams or deception

  • Do not scam, defraud or mislead anyone. That includes fake jobs, fake offerings, advance-fee schemes, fake invoices and requests for money to “unlock” a job or payment.
  • Never ask a candidate to pay for an application, training, equipment, a test or a placement.
  • Do not pretend to be someone else, a company, a recruiter or ProfilePro staff. Use your real name and a real photo of yourself on a personal profile.
  • Do not exaggerate or invent your experience, qualifications, certificates, clients, reviews or results.
  • Do not manipulate verification, fake your identity documents or share your account.

5. Hiring and job posts

  • Job posts must be real, current and accurate about the role, pay, location and company.
  • Do not discriminate in who you hire or how you describe the role, and do not ask for sensitive documents or personal information that the job does not need.
  • Treat applicants’ information as confidential. Do not share it or use it for anything other than hiring.
  • Respond to applicants honestly and, where you can, let them know the outcome.

6. Offerings, services and promotion

  • Describe what you sell clearly and honestly. Deliver what you promise and handle refunds and complaints fairly.
  • Do not sell anything illegal, counterfeit, pirated, misleading or harmful.
  • Promote your work in a way that adds value. Repeated self-promotion in other people’s comments or messages is spam.

7. No spam or fake activity

  • No mass or repetitive messages, copy-pasted comments, chain posts or unsolicited bulk invitations.
  • No fake likes, followers, views, reviews or engagement, and no paying or trading for them.
  • No fake or duplicate accounts, and no bots or automation used to post, message or collect data.

8. Respect privacy and other people’s work

  • Do not share someone else’s private information, such as addresses, ID documents, financial details or private messages, without their permission.
  • Do not secretly record or screenshot and post private conversations to embarrass someone.
  • Only post work you created or have permission to share. Respect copyright, trademarks and confidentiality agreements with employers and clients.

9. Safe and lawful use

  • Do not use ProfilePro for anything illegal, including fraud, money laundering, hacking, malware, phishing or trading in stolen data.
  • Do not share false or misleading information that could cause real harm, and do not post content that encourages self-harm.
  • Do not try to access other people’s accounts or interfere with how ProfilePro works.

Reporting and enforcement

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report the post, comment, message, profile or job from its “...” menu, or tell our team in the Help Center. Include screenshots and the profile link if you can. We review reports fairly and depending on what happened we may remove content, give a warning, limit features, suspend an account or permanently remove it. Serious cases, such as scams, threats or illegal activity, may lead to an immediate ban and may be reported to the authorities. If you think we made a mistake, you can appeal through the Help Center.

A few steps make the biggest difference to how people see you on ProfilePro.

If you are looking for work

  1. Complete your Professional Profile. Add a clear photo, a short headline, your experience, education and skills. Complete profiles are easier to find and easier to trust.
  2. Show your work. Add portfolio projects, certifications and a resume so hirers can see proof, not just claims.
  3. Get verified. Verification shows hirers you are who you say you are. See “How verification works”.
  4. Apply and follow up. Track every application under My Applications and respond quickly when a hirer messages you or invites you to interview.

If you are hiring

  1. Create a business profile under My Profiles and add your company details.
  2. Verify the business with its CAC RC number so candidates can trust the listing.
  3. Post a job with a clear title, scope, location and pay information, then review applicants and schedule interviews.
  4. Agree the work in a contract before anyone starts.

Keep your account healthy

Verification helps everyone on ProfilePro know they are dealing with a real person or a real business. Our team reviews what you submit, so decisions are not instant.

The three tiers

  • Tier 1 · Bank account. Confirms the account you get paid into belongs to you.
  • Tier 2 · Face. A short live selfie that shows it is really you. Use good light and keep your face inside the frame.
  • Tier 3 · Identity. A photo of a valid government-issued ID so we can confirm your name.

Tiers open in order. The verified badge on your profile appears once your identity and face checks are approved.

Business verification

Each business profile is verified separately using its CAC RC number. Only the Page owner or a Super admin of the Page can do this. A verified business shows a badge and gives candidates more confidence to apply.

If a check is not approved

You will see the reason and can try again. The most common causes are blurry or cropped photos, an ID that has expired, a name that does not match your profile, and glare on the ID. Retake the photo in daylight, show all four corners of the document, and make sure the details are readable.

What the badge does not mean

A badge confirms identity checks only. It is not a guarantee of skill, quality of work or conduct, so keep following the safety tips before you agree to work or send money.

Most problems are avoidable. Keep these habits and you will avoid the common scams.

Warning signs

  • Anyone asking you to pay to get a job, an interview, a “training kit” or a placement. Real employers do not charge applicants.
  • Offers that are far too good to be true, or that pressure you to act immediately.
  • Requests to move the conversation or the payment off ProfilePro.
  • Cheques or transfers that “overpay” you and ask for the difference back.
  • Messages that ask for your password, a verification code or a login link.

Protect your account

  • Never share your password or one-time codes with anyone, including people who say they work for ProfilePro.
  • Use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication.
  • Remove devices you do not recognise from Devices and sessions.

Before you agree to work

  • Check whether the person or business is verified and read their profile and history.
  • Put the scope, price and deadline in a contract so everyone has the same record.
  • Keep conversations and payments on ProfilePro so there is a record if something goes wrong.

A short guide to agreeing work and getting paid. Your own contract terms always take priority for the details of a job.

Contracts

  • A contract records what was agreed: the work, the price, deadlines and any milestones.
  • Read it fully before you accept. Ask for changes before you start, not after.
  • Track every contract, its status and its history from the Contracts page.

Your wallet

  • Your wallet shows what you have earned or paid out and your transaction history.
  • To get paid, add and verify a bank account in your name. The name on the account should match the name on your profile.
  • Business payments are managed from the Business wallet of the business profile you manage.

Good habits

  • Agree scope and price in writing before work begins.
  • Deliver and approve work in steps so problems show up early.
  • Keep receipts and invoices for your own records and taxes.

Billing and usage

Your account is on the Free plan unless you chose to upgrade. See Billing and usage in Settings for your storage, payments and invoices.
